Safety & Rescue gear for the whitewater paddler

Be safer on the water with these products.  Whitewater paddling involves inherent risks that can't be eliminated, but with proper safety equipment and appropriate training, you can reduce these risks when you're on the river.  When paddling with a group, each paddler should carry a throw rope, a few carabiners and a couple of prussiks made of 5 to 7 mm accessory cord.  We carry throw ropes made of polypropylene (lightweight, low cost, high stretch) and Spectra (lightweight, higher cost, minimal stretch, high breaking strength).  Choose polypro for lighter duty applications while Spectra throw ropes excel in many commercial settings and anytime you're using mechanical advantage to haul boats or stabilize a pinned boater.
